Dish Type :  Indian Bread

Cooking Time : 10 minutes

Servings : 3-4 people

Ingredients:

For cheesy stuffing:
Paneer – 400gms
Amul cheese cubes – 5 cubes
Kasoori methi – 1 tbsp
Finely Chopped Onions – 2 medium sized
Chopped Coriander – 1/2 cup
Salt – as per taste
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp or as per taste
Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
Ajwain or Carom seeds – 2 tsp
Chopped green chilli (Optional – I have not used it)
For Dough :
Wheat flour – 1.5 cup
Water – approx 1 cup (just enough to knead a moderately soft dough, which is neither too hard, nor too soft)
I do not use extra salt while preparing dough to cut down the unnecessary salt intake. If you want, you can use it.

Process:

  1. First, Crumble the paneer in a bowl.
  2. To crumbled paneer, add onions, Kasoori methi, all spices, Chopped Fresh Green Coriander and mix well such that everything is well combined.
  3. To this mixture, add Grated cheese and mix well again.
  4. Kneading the dough : In the flour add water little by little and knead a moderately soft dough. If you want to make perfect stuffed parathas, always remember that the dough should be moderately soft, neither very hard, nor very soft.
  5.  Punch out a small ball from the dough and roll it into a chapati.                                          Tip : Always roll thicker from center and thinner from edges
  6. Put lots of stuffing on the rolled chapati & fold it in in the Dominos Garlic bread shape & seal the edges.
  7. Put the stuffed paratha on moderately hot tawa and cook from one side. Once half cooked, flip and cook it from other side.
  8. Now, Apply ghee on one side and flip and apply ghee on other side as well.
  9. Press from all edges and cook properly.
  10. Cook until its beautiful golden brown from both sides. Then, take it out on a plate
  11. Cut it half from center and serve hot.

How to serve:

Serve hot with coriander chutney, curd or ketchup and enjoy the yummy Paratha.
